At NJ lab, we design synthetic methods that are both inventive and environmentally responsible, aimed at building biologically relevant molecules and functional organic frameworks. Our work draws on photoredox catalysis, transition-metal catalysis, and hypervalent iodine chemistry to forge C–C, C–N, C–O, and C–S bonds under mild conditions. Green chemistry principles and mechanistic insight guide everything we do. By understanding how a reaction works, we can make it cleaner, broader in scope, and more useful to the chemists who adopt it. Our methods expand accessible chemical space, enable late-stage functionalization of complex scaffolds, and offer practical routes to medicinally important heterocycles and advanced organic molecules.
